WHAT AND HOW
Wanderbag is a project that I developed in New York in 2007.
It has since wandered many directions and grew to fit its name.

There have been some frequent questions which I'd like to answer.
No answer on some of them, though none without questions.
That's pretty much how I began the project. The story how you
get the chance to ask yourself a bunch of questions is a long one—
spend some time in New York and you might find out!
Coming by boat from England and Switzerland my parents
met there in the 60ies. We returned for a brief but unforgettable
visit as a family in 1986. Hearing about the place for the rest
of my life it seemed a necessary experience. I finally moved in
2001 and returned to Zurich where I'm from after almost 10 years.
A thing that I noticed in the big apple very quickly was certainly
the abundance of goods the city has to offer and with that
the amount of waste I'd conveniently ignore while other more
youth- and colorful missions were in need to be accomplished.
Plastic bags will pile up quickly though if you're lacking the
privilege to pay attention. As time went by I began to take along
a small reusable bag and it finally occurred to me that there
was more to the piece of canvas. Wanderbag eventually
started to take shape and has since developed an inspiring
life of its own that's granted me and others a bag full of surprises.
